Overcoming Negative Voices 🀫

Focusing on What Truly Matters

I have this thing when I get overwhelmed to ask: what am I getting out of this? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Because honestly, everything we do has one goal = we want to be happy.

Even the laundry.

Everything is rooted in: I have to do this = to get this.

I work = to earn money.

I exercise = to be in shape.

I do it = to be better.

You need to remember your why, so every time you complain about having to do something = you think about what you're getting from it.

And on the flip side, if you're not getting happy, you're doing the wrong things and need to redirect your energy. You know when it's right, especially when the challenges you're facing are those you created to overcome on purpose.

I don't ignore my feelings - I'm a "feel all the feels" girl. But stress, self-doubt, and anxiety are the things we make up to protect us. And honestly, they are lies. So, as soon as negativity creeps in, I show it the door & keep doing my thing.

Tomorrow, I have a BIG photoshoot to get incredible branding shots to build my business. I've had this vision in my head forever, and now it's happening IRL, and I just freaked. 😳 

Am I ready? Am I going to do well? Will it be successful? Suddenly, I'm concerned about being prepared. I've been planning for months. I have been doing all the things. All the stuff on the list that needs to be done is done. FOCUS. I am ready. It will be great. It will be a HUGE success! I am doing this for my future. πŸ‘ˆ

Stop yourself when you're overwhelmed and figure out the actual cause. And ask yourself if what you're doing will give you the desired outcome. And if you don't know, that's okay. Just keep asking yourself that question until you do. And that may take some time. But never let those voices have power over you and your actions.

You're the boss of you. So act accordingly.

Below are my fav tips on how to stop those voices in their tracks and refocus on what truly matters:

🎯 Acknowledge the Voices: When negativity starts to creep in, don't ignore it. Acknowledge those thoughts and feelings. Remember, it's entirely normal to have moments of doubt and stress. Take a moment to figure out the cause and do something about it. Don’t let it fester and just get worse. Be in charge and work through it so you can hear positivity.

🌟 Reframe Your Perspective: Shift your mindset from "Can I do this?" to "Of course I can freaking do this!" Remind yourself of your capabilities and past successes. Confidence in yourself is a powerful tool. Believe in your abilities to overcome any challenge. Seriously, whatever you’re working on is doable. You just have to do it.

πŸšͺ Show the Voices the Door: Don't give those negative voices any power. Visualize them as unwelcome guests at a party and promptly escort them out. Refocus your energy on what you need to accomplish. You are in control of your thoughts. There's not enough space in your beautiful head for that crap! Peace out, voices! ✌🏻

πŸ’‘ Remember Your "Why": Reflect on why you're pursuing your goals and dreams. Connect with the deeper reasons that drive your actions. This sense of purpose can help you push through challenges and keep your focus on what truly matters. Whenever you stress out, remind yourself why you started in the first place, which should reenergize you to keep going. And if it doesn't, maybe your why got lost, and you need to return to the beginning.

🌱 Embrace the Growth: Understand that growth happens in your journey's challenging and scary parts. Embrace these moments as opportunities for personal development. You'll get through this and move on just as you always have. This, too, shall pass, and it'll lead you to something bigger and better, so keep going. If it isn’t scary, you’re not dreaming big enough.

πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Prepare and Surround Yourself with Support: Preparation boosts confidence. Plan ahead, seek help when needed, and build a supportive network of people who want to see you succeed. Surround yourself with a team that's rooting for your success. I have a strong team of women around me. They want me to succeed. They are preparing too. And you know what? We WILL have fun. Because, in the end, that's what this is all about. To be happy.

πŸ’– Connect Effort to Happiness: Shift your perspective from "I have to do this" to "I get to do this because it leads to happiness." Realize that your efforts are steps toward achieving your desired outcomes. Each contributes to your growth and happiness, and then you'll say, "I want to do this!"

🌟 Be Your Own Boss: Remember, you control your thoughts and actions. Take charge and act in alignment with your aspirations. You're the CEO of your life. Be proactive. Think like someone in control of the situation and do something about it. I can't stress that enough.

πŸŽ‰ Celebrate Yourself: Enjoy the journey. Life is about being happy, so make sure you have fun along the way, even when facing challenges. Every step you take is an achievement worth celebrating.
