If you don't do this one☝️thing you'll never be successful

Let's go way back to 2022. It's not long ago, but a lot has happened since that year. 

If you don't know me on social, I share a ton of videos of myself, and after a while, I realized that my clothes were showing. I wanted to wear something tangible that spoke to my message, like wearing your heart on your sleeve. So when I was getting DMs saying "Bye!" I realized they were taking it from my ending phrase, "Love you. Gotta go. Bye." Because honey, we could sit here and talk about doing stuff in our lives, but we have to get up and go to make it happen in real life. Thus, the OG "Love you. Gotta go. Bye." hoodie was born.

But let me tell you, it wasn't easy. There were countless moments of hemming and hawing, debating over every detail, from design and coloring to sizing. So many decisions went into creating that hoodie, and it's easy to forget the hours and sleepless nights that went into it. But I wore that hoodie proudly, like a badge of honor—and overwore it. 

When the time came to create a new one, I faced a new round of decision fatigue. Would it live up to the original? Would it resonate with you? I anxiously shared it and was psyched when you loved and bought it! And for those who didn't, that's okay, too. Because the point isn't just about selling a hoodie - it's about showing you that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. Throughout this process, I've shared the steps I'm taking from hiring designers and turning my sun icon into a character so it can take the steps with you. 

The hardest part of this journey has been sticking to my gut and staying true to what I believe in and love. It's so easy to get distracted, wanting to please everyone. But I've learned that the only thing stopping me is me. So, I decided to follow my passion, trust my instincts, and be proud of my creations. And I can do that by remembering that this is what I can do TODAY with what I have. Although it may not be perfect, or just as I imagined, the key word is YET. I will get there YET. And I will only get to the YET if I don't stop (and that just gave me another shirt idea!)💡

And that's where the importance of talking about it comes in. I used to shy away from sales, thinking it was yucky and cringey. But then I realized - if I can hype up someone else's product, why can't I do the same for my own? Remember Rihanna during the halftime show? She paused to put on makeup from her business line and kept dancing, gaining millions in sales. That's the power of believing in yourself (that’s the one thing you need).

So here we are, dancing, creating, and empowering each other, just like in one of my favorite designs. But it's not just about the hoodie—it's about believing in yourself. So, let's keep going and shining our light as bright as we can.
